FAIR FRIENDS offers a large range of products and services to allow you to live and work in a fair, social and sustainable way. Interested parties can purchase and order items, and get information and inspiration. Vegan, vegetarian and regional dishes, on-site demonstrations, educational activities and presentations make FAIR FRIENDS an inevitable highlight in the sustainability calendar.
The fair is a strong communication platform that brings together customers, retails, young and low-level entrepreneurs, manufacturers, producers, and even associations under one roof. It also offers an ideal environment for communication on projects, programmes and public campaigns. Potential trade visitors include parochial and communal purchases, CSR managers and purchasing decision-makers for sustainable products and services in the area of B2B. With the topic of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the trade fair
deals with a topic which companies and institutions are devoting ever more attention to. Even the EU Commission has presented its own CSR strategy.
The Topic Areas At A Glance
Dortmund has already established itself over the past few years as the location for Germany's largest Fair Trade Fair. This strength also lives on at FAIR FRIENDS.
The topic area of "Fair Trade" offers a comprehensive market overview from all walks of life, and brings together the available range of and ever increasing demand for fair produced and traded products in a targeted fashion. Fair working conditions, fair produced and traded products from all areas of life are just as in focus here as certifications.
The new topic of "Social Responsibility" looks at current topics and challenges in the area of corporate social responsibility, and offers places for discussion and solution approaches for product and service innovations as well as pressing developments in society. Topics include shared economy, resource scarcity, climate change, social responsibility, sustainable finances, alternative energies, integration, inclusion and much more.
The topic of "Trade Fair for sustainable lifestyles" is aimed exclusively at ethnic economies and offers a wide mix of products and services for trade and individual retailers, as well as interested consumers, to allow everyone to make sustainable purchasing decisions. This means, for example, regional, vegan and organic food, alternative forms of living and local mobility, sustainable quality of life, recycling and upcycling, cradle to cradle (the vision of a waste-free economy), as well as innovative new concepts for the responsibility-aware life of tomorrow.
On the trade visitor day, the fair offers trade forums, presentations and topic islands, amongst others. On the end user days, entertaining programme items such as workshops, cooking demonstrations or fashion shows draw in the crowds. The individual trade fair topics are separated from one another in different halls, making it easier for visitors to get an overview by walking around the different areas of interest.
